Parading Google Glass and other wearable tech pieces down the runway is so last fashion week. This year, GoPro was the industry’s go-to techie toy: Karlie Kloss wore one throughout the week, from her taping of Good Morning America to a turn down Carolina Herrera’s runway.
But the super model wasn’t the only one embracing the technology. Nicole Miller partnered with GoPro, which shot an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at what goes on before, during and after the runway show. Backstage before the show, Miller said she’d also be wearing a GoPro to document her own experience. Watch the exclusive video below.

For her Fall 2015 collection, Miller went into the woods, putting a fantasy spin on flowing dresses, fur capes and jacquard blouses.
“I thought that was really interesting,” Miller said of the creatures and drawings in books like The Last Apprentice. “I found some books on mythology and then I found some mythic fiction books … it was really fun because it’s always a learning experience, you learn about things you didn’t know.”
Beaded bodices with swinging black fringe followed rainbow printed kidskin and multi-colored fox fur jackets. Mixed prints were the look of the collection – embellished “Dark Woods” printed skirts and tops were paired with camouflage jackets and pants. Animal embroidered gowns in forest green managed to come off as both playful and elegant.
And some of the looks were delightfully busy – a crystal silk georgette blouse and scarf paired with a forest beaded skirt could have been a headache, but the finished look was fun and surprisingly polished.
The designer’s signature ruched dress was done in a deep jewel tones. Click through the gallery to see all of the looks.
